Lincoln Christian women earn NCCAA national win

Sophomore guard Jodi Raymer scored 24 points Wednesday night to lead the Lincoln Christian College women's basketball team past Crown (Minn.) College, 56-43, in the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) national tournament at Lakeland, Fla.

Kari Otto added 11 points for the Angels, who meet Kentucky Christian at 6 p.m. today in the quarterfinals. Senior center Katie Geisler grabbed 12 rebounds for Lincoln Christian.

Lincoln College women fall

Lincoln Land slipped past the Lincoln College women, 80-71, in overtime in the Region 24 Tournament at Springfield.

Lincoln College, which ended its season 17-14, rallied from 17 points down with eight minutes left to force overtime. Tiffany Tungate led the Lynx with 15 points and six rebounds. Johnna Wesby and Kellie Klassen added 13 points each, with Klassen also grabbing six rebounds.
