ROCKFORD - Che Caldwell and Cassie Mosier combined for 22 points to help the Lincoln College women's basketball team rout Rock Valley 78-26 Friday night in the season opener for the Lynx.

Caldwell led Lincoln with 12 points, while Mosier, a LeRoy High School graduate, added 10 points and three steals. Also contributing for the winners were Johnna Wesby (eight rebounds), Bloomington High School graduate Danielle Jones (eight points), Clinton product Ashley Cooper (six points), former Illini Central player Kellie Klassen (three steals), and Percella Harris (four assists).

"We scored 78 points and only two were in double figures, so that shows how balanced we were," said Lincoln coach Carol Wilson.

Thirteen of Lincoln's 15 players scored in the game. Rock Valley fell to 0-2.

The Lynx, who led 37-14 at halftime, play at Sauk Valley today.
