Lynx men fall despite Keaton's 14 points

Lincoln College's P.J. Keaton registered a team-high 14 points as the Lynx were upended by Lincoln Land, 64-49, Saturday night in men's basketball action at Springfield.

Brandon Alexander added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Lynx (23-5, 12-2). Chris Booth led Lincoln Land with a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Lincoln College shot 34 percent from the field and attempted only four free throws.

Red Devils' men lose

Justin Gray scored 24 points to pace Concordia to a 79-71 victory over Eureka College in men's action at River Forest.

A.J. Richard had 25 points to lead Eureka College (4-21, 0-10 in the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference). Tim Peffer added 22 points for the Red Devils, who trailed 38-29 at the half.

The difference was at the free-throw line, where Concordia was 25 of 36 and Eureka College 5 of 11.

Eureka College women fall

Alison Sansone's 19 points keyed Concordia to a 71-52 win over Eureka College in NIIC women's play at River Forest.

Nicole Fisher's 23 points and 11 rebounds paced the Red Devils (15-10, 3-7). Concordia (10-15, 3-7) outscored Eureka College 49-31 in the second half, hitting 7 of 8 from 3-point range after halftime.

The Red Devils shot 36 percent from the field, including 3 of 15 from beyond the arc.

Lincoln College women lose

The Lynx trailed by just five points (24-19) at halftime, but Lincoln Land pulled away in the second half en route to a 72-53 win at Springfield.

Johnna Wesley scored 14 points and Gina Thompson added 13 for Lincoln College, which shot just 27 percent (17-for-61) from the field.
