FAIRBURY — Lake Nichoalds of Onarga claimed the checkered flag and $1,000 top prize in the 25-lap Eden-Piercy Memorial for sportsman on Saturday at Fairbury American Legion Speedway.

Rounding out the top five were Steve Mattingly of Chenoa, Tim Dick of Monticello, Brandon Pralle of Ashkum and Richard Craven of Joliet. Nichoalds, who posted his seventh feature win of the season and is the division points leader, was fast qualifier with a lap of 14.514 seconds.

Other feature winners were Mike Spatola of Manhattan (late model) and Steven Brooks of New Lenox (modified). A.J. Meirferdt of Coal City picked up his fourth win in a row and seventh of the season in the street stock division.
