Olympia's poor free-throw shooting down the stretch forced overtime, but the Spartans found success at the line in the extra session keying a Corn Belt Conference victory at Rantoul.

The visiting Spartans (4-3, 1-2) went 10-for-12 from the stripe in overtime after shooting 1-for-10 in the fourth quarter.

"We were either feast or famine from the line tonight," Olympia head coach Paul Swanson said. "I was pleased with the win. Any road win in the Corn Belt is a good one."

Senior Darin Stappenbeck had 14 points and went 12-for-17 from the free-throw line for the Spartans.

Rantoul (0-8, 0-3) was guided by Greg Cannon's 17 points.

Olympia snapped a three-game losing streak with the win.
