Junior forward Matt Schick scored a game-high 21 points, including five baskets from 3-point range, as the Lincoln High School boys basketball team rolled over cold-shooting and previously unbeaten Sacred Heart-Griffin 64-39 in a Central State Eight Conference game Thursday night at Lincoln.

Lincoln (2-1 in Central State Eight, 5-3 overall) held a slim 23-19 halftime lead before going on a 16-6 third quarter run to up the margin to 39-25. Lincoln finished off SHG (3-1, 4-1) with a 25 point outburst in the final period as the Railsplitters connected on 14 3-pointers for the contest.

Junior guard Brandon Farmer added 17 points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds for Lincoln. Curt Courtwright scored 10 points while Schick also recorded six rebounds for the Railsplitters.

SHG, which shot just 26 percent from the floor, was led by Alex Gee, who scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds for the Cyclones.

At St. Joseph

PBL 75, Westville 64: PBL's Tyler Overstreet led three players in double figures as the Panthers overcame a 35-point effort from Westville's Josh Howard to defeat the Tigers in White Pool play at the Leader Classic.

PBL jumped out to a 24-13 first period lead and held that margin to go ahead 37-25 at intermission. Westville battled back to cut the Panther lead to 50-41 after three periods. Howard scored 14 points for Westville in the final quarter but it wasn't enough as PBL matched the Tigers basket-for-basket to preserve the win.

Overstreet finished with 19 points while 6-foot-5 senior center Jon Wallace added 18 for the Panthers. Kendall Cox had a big night for PBL as the freshman guard chimed in with 14 points.

PBL (2-1 in the tourney) will meet Unity in the third-place game today.
