15 years ago (2003): Augustana controlled the ball for nearly 24 minutes of the second half, staging two lengthy scoring drives to wipe out a 10-7 halftime deficit and hand Illinois Wesleyan a 20-17 CCIW defeat. “We came out after halftime and controlled the ball for eight minutes. That was huge,” said Augustana center Jeff Purcell, a Normal Community High School graduate.

Zimmerman, a graduate of Illini Central High School, recorded a career-high 16 kills and a school single-match record of 12 block assists in a four-game triumph of Southeast Missouri.
