25 years ago (1994): Always a blue-collar player, Mike Groenenboom earned an extra sandwich in his lunch box with a 21-point, 11-rebound performance that sparked Illinois Wesleyan to a 90-66 basketball victory over Augustana.

50 years ago (1969): Eureka College took the lead with 15 minutes remaining in the game and went on to trip Milton, 84-72, in a Gateway Conference game at Eureka. The Red Devils placed four men in double figures with Joe Lebeda leading the way with 21 points, while teammate Tony Cook was close behind with 18.
