15 years ago (2004): Illinois State assistant softball coach Tina Kramos is fulfilling her Olympic aspirations as an infielder on the Greek national team, which will compete in the Summer Games at Athens, Greece. She is of Greek descent and has Greek citizenship.

25 years ago (1994): Beth Schrader celebrated her birthday by pitching the Bloomington Lady Hearts to 9-2 victory over Mason City (Iowa) in the first round of the ASA women’s fastpitch national tournament at Decatur.

50 years ago (1969): Tom Gramkow, captain-elect of Illinois Wesleyan University’s 1969-70 basketball team, is the first Titan to be selected on the All-Fiji team of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Gramkow’s selection was disclosed in the fraternity’s magazine this month. He is a senior from Moline.
