5 years ago (2006): Twin brothers Andrew and Zach Freeman combined for 49 points and scored 36 of Illinois Wesleyan's 49 second-half points as the Titans beat Hanover 84-65. Andrew had 25 and Zach 24.

15 years ago (1996): Bloomington's Tiffany Hosea scored 18 points and the BHS defense shut out Decatur MacArthur in the first quarter en route to a 56-20 girls basketball victory.

25 years ago (1986): Mitch Richmond's wide-open 15-foot jump shot with five seconds left in overtime carried Kansas State over Illinois State 87-86 and into the title game of the Music City Invitational at Nashville, Tenn.

50 years ago (1961): Seven angry boys from Bloomington went eyeball to eyeball and elbow to elbow with the big boys from Trinity and ambushed the previously unbeaten Saints 67-52. Captain Don Feek led BHS with 26 points and 18 rebounds.
