5 years ago (2012): Eureka College junior guard Caty Eeten became the 14th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career points during a 59-49 loss at Robert Morris-Springfield. The Eureka High School graduate scored a game-high 25 points to give her 1,024 for her career.

15 years ago (2002): Junior Jolene Dodge had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lift Normal West’s girls basketball team to its first victory of the season with a 52-49 win over Decatur Eisenhower.

25 years ago (1992): Illinois Wesleyan senior Steve Kuehl nailed an open 3-pointer that halted an IWU slide and opened the door for a 71-59 basketball victory over Loras. A 12-1 Loras run had sliced the Titans’ lead to 47-44 when Kuehl responded by swishing the 3-pointer.

50 years ago (1967): Atlanta stopped Danvers' winning streak at three games with a 66-46 nonconference victory over the cold-shooting Dragons. Senior Tony Young captured game scoring honors, pumping in 26 points for the Red Wings.
