Tate Walcott won two individual titles to lead Lexington to the Illinois Elementary School Association boys Class 7A state track and field championship this past weekend at East Peoria.
Walcott prevailed in the 200-meter dash (24.53 seconds) and the high jump (5-6). Teammate Mason Barr won the 400 (55.88) and Lexington also finished first in the 800- and 1,600-meter relays.
Lexington had 56 points to win easily over runner-up Hamilton (34). Fisher finished fifth (23), led by its victorious 400-meter relay.

In boys 8A, Blue Ridge's Mitchel Morrow won the long jump (18-101/2).
On the girls side, Mya Tinsley's victory in the 100 (13.19) paced Ridgeview to sixth place with 27 points in 7A. Roanoke-Benson placed eighth with 20, led by Paige Sauder's triumph in the 400 (1:03.82).
In girls 8A, Fisher's Alayna Stalter won the 100 hurdles (15.87), while Bloomington Holy Trinity's 800-meter relay (1:53.09) also was victorious.
