DOWNS — Senior guard Kyler Hardy led four Vikings double-figure scorers with 16 points as the Tri-Valley High School boys basketball team downed Calvary Baptist Academy 64-46 Friday night in a nonconference game.
Tri-Valley (7-3) jumped out to a 20-10 lead after one quarter and outscored the Crusaders 14-8 in the second period to take a 34-18 lead at the half. The Vikings expanded the lead to 58-30 after three quarters before Calvary Baptist rallied for 16 points in the fourth quarter to eight for Tri-Valley for the final.
Sophomore Josh Borst had a game-high 18 points, including four 3-point baskets, to lead Calvary (3-6). Tommy Horine added seven points for the Crusaders.
David Cripe and Danny Gibson scored 12 points apiece for the Vikings while Bryan Benjamin reached double figures with 10. Junior Cole Wells led Tri-Valley on the boards with six rebounds while Andy McNaught and Benjamin each had five.
Grant Jones picked up seven assists for the Vikings and Gibson added four steals.
