With just five league members remaining and the clock ticking on putting together a league schedule, United Hockey League officials said Wednesday they plan to announce on June 20 what shape and direction the league will take for the 2007-08 season.

"We understand that there has been a lot of speculation about the future of the United Hockey League, and many of the fans' questions will be answered on June 20," Paul Pickard, UHL Chairman of the Board of Governors, said in a statement. Pickard is acting commissioner as Richard Brosal left to become executive vice president of sales and marketing for B2 Networks.

The league's owners plan to make their announcement live over the Internet from Las Vegas where they are to meet next week. The announcement can be seen online at www.theuhl.com and www.b2livetv.com at 6 p.m.
