Nate Woodward, a senior at Roanoke-Benson, has been named the recipient of a scholarship worth $1,000 from the Helena Acre Home Grown. He plans to attend either Illinois Central College in East Peoria or Illinois State University in Normal and study medical pathology.
The Helena Acre Home Grown Scholarship program is designed to encourage and support local families who share the goal of improving the agriculture industry. This year, Helena has awarded approximately 50 high school seniors with $1,000 scholarships to students who have chosen to further their education by pursuing a degree in an agriculture- or science-related filed. Helena is committed to supporting the next generation of agriculture through the Helena Homegrown Scholarship. The company wants to help local customers and communities grow more than crops through the Homegrown Scholarship program or its industry-leading intern program.
