ROANOKE - Don L. Miller, 65, died at 6:35 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Advocate Eureka Hospital in Eureka.
He was born Dec. 31, 1949, in Anna, the son of Roy and Claudia Horn Miller. He married Toni Fender on Oct. 18, 1969, in Benson. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Tim (Julie) Miller, Eureka and Brandon (Rose) Miller, Roanoke; four daughters, Angela Theel, Lansing, Kan., Amy Miller, Washington, Jessica (Mike) Fitschen, Lenoir City, Tenn., and Crystal Peiffer, Roanoke; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Roy (Charlotte) Miller, Leavenworth, Kan., Dallas (Peggy) Miller, Bartonville, Dan (Lisa) Miller, Benson, Perry (Nancy) Miller, Mena, Ark., and Randy (Mildred) Miller, Tower Hill and two sisters, Janet (Gary) Fox, Greencastle, Ind., and Ruth Ann Hull, Glendale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a truck driver for over 40 years before he retired in 2012. Don was a member of Roanoke American Legion Post No. 463 and the HOI GTO Club. He loved his Pontiac GTO and also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as well as being outdoors gardening, fishing and watching birds and squirrels.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke with the Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Roanoke Township Cemetery, Roanoke, where military rites will be conducted by Post 463.
