EUREKA – Edwin L. Kupferschmid, 71, died peacefully at 4:50 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at his home in Eureka.
He was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Washington, the son of Wayne and Laura Bachtold Kupferschmid. He married Donna Blunier on April 5, 1970, in Eureka. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jason (Angie) Kupferschmid, Morton, Kent (Becki) Kupferschmid, Washington and Kevin (Julie) Kupferschmid, Eureka; three daughters, Amy Kupferschmid, Julie Kupferschmid and Rachel (Steven) Dotterer, all of Eureka; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Lon Kupferschmid, Eureka and Tom (Sherri) Kupferschmid, Goodfield and two sisters, Phyllis (Chris) Miller, Carlock and Beverly (Jimmie) Peters of the state of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Loretta Leman.
Ed served in the Army as a combat medic during the Vietnam conflict. He worked for many years as a blacksmith for Caterpillar. Ed was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church, Eureka. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the church with ministers of the church officiating. Visitation was Monday at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and this morning at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
