EUREKA - Less than 40 minutes was all it took for Eureka to sweep Heyworth Tuesday night by scores of 25-12, 25-7.

Courtney Heffren served 18 points, including six aces, while Hailey Flowers added 10 kills for Eureka (10-0, 3-0).

According to Eureka coach Tracy Heffren, Heyworth (2-12, 1-2) was without two regulars so she was aware the match would be one-sided.

“You never want to embarrass anybody,” she said. “Just talking to the coach (Andrea Hardwick) before the match, they had two seniors out. I kind of knew going in.”

Alexa Nave had two kills for Heyworth, who lost their sixth consecutive match.

Meanwhile, Eureka ran its Heart of Illinois Conference winning streak to 29 in a row.
