SUITING UP – These individuals will represent Fieldcrest in an alumni football game against Limestone slated for Aug. 18 at Veteran’s Park in Minonk. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Tickets, which can be purchased at Minonk Community Bank or before the game at VP, are $10 with those ages six and under admitted for free. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude (For the Journal/TNT Photo).

GIRLS' GOLF

Eureka begins up north: Allison Pacocha fired an 18-hole score of 79 at the 15-team Prep Tour Showcase held Thursday at Senica's Deer Park near Oglesby. The Hornets were ninth, while Effingham St. Anthony placed first.

Hornets sting two: Host Eureka upended Pontiac and Fieldcrest in a Monday triangular at Kaufman Park. Allison Pacocha's nine-hole tally of 38 paced the winners. Fieldcrest was led by Alivia Tjaden's 55.

Locals invade Redbird territory: Eureka took third behind Central Catholic and Geneseo in Tuesday's Redbird Classic at Metamora Fields. Allison Pacocha had the Hornets' low score of 76. Eureka (351) was one stroke behind Geneseo for runner-up in the 15-team event. Kylie Gaspardo (120) had the low score for Fieldcrest.

BOYS' GOLF

Eureka falls at home: Daniel Frank fired a 41 for the Hornets in a dual defeat to Streator Tuesday at Kaufman.
