Fieldcrest 45, Tremont 55: Tessa Holland pumped in 18 points, but Fieldcrest dropped the McLean County tournament semifinal Thursday night at the Shirk Center in Bloomington. The loss also meant the Knights gave up possession of the traveling trophy.

Roanoke-Benson 43, Ottawa Marquette 29: The R-B defense was stingy, as they handed the Crusaders their second home loss in a week on Thursday. Olivia Rossman scored eight points, as the Rockets claimed third place in the Tri-County Conference tourney. Kate Gastman, Macie Sauder and Madge Sullivan were named to the all-tourney squad. Sophomore Katie Volz sank 23 of 25 attempts to win the free throw contest.

Fieldcrest 41, LeRoy 43: Tessa Holland finished with 19 points, but the Knights dropped the third place game of the tourney to the Panthers Saturday afternoon at Shirk.

Eureka 42, Putnam County 44: Natalie Bardwell netted 14 points for the visiting Hornets (12-7) in Saturday night's non-league road loss.

Midland 20, R-B 51: Madge Sullivan scored 12 points for R-B (12-9, 3-2) in Monday's makeup TCC win.

Fisher 43, Fieldcrest 49: Tessa Holland scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Knights (14-10, 8-2) in the Monday Heart of Illinois Conference home win.

Fieldcrest 37, LeRoy 38: Tessa Holland posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in Tuesday's makeup HOIC road defeat.


Tremont 50, Fieldcrest 59: Jackson Puetz poured in 20 points, as Fieldcrest overcame 12 of 26 shooting at the foul line Friday in the McLean County tourney at Shirk. Fieldcrest re-claimed the traveling trophy with the victory.

Eureka 52, Olympia 53 (double overtime): Lucas Zimmerman scored 14 points, but the Hornets (3-14, 0-9) fell after 40 minutes of play in the Corn Belt Conference tussle Friday evening.

Fieldcrest 53, Ridgeview 71: Jackson Puetz led the Knights with 17 points, but Ridgeview won the tourney final Saturday night at Shirk to take possession of the traveling trophy. The Mustangs have won 19 in a row since losing their season opener.

Woodland 52, R-B 65: Behind 20 points from Ryan Fehr, R-B (14-4) won Tuesday in TCC tourney action in Granville.

Eureka 43, U-High 80: Dylan Troyer finished with 10 points for Eureka in the Tuesday night league loss.

Tremont 55, Fieldcrest 61: Drew Barth's 17 points helped Fieldcrest (15-4, 5-1) beat the Turks for the second time in less than a week on Tuesday. 


Eureka 63, Tremont 11: Eureka (10-8) registered 11 of 13 wins to roll in the Thursday road dual. Ben Gregory earned an 11-7 decision at 138 pounds.

Trio gets third: Shane Robinson (120), Jake Miller (152) and Dakota Hospelhorn (160) each grabbed third individually in the Randy Bowman Invitational held Saturday at LeRoy. Eureka took ninth in the team standings, while Shelbyville ended up first.

Grapplers take it on the chin: After winning their first four matches against CBC competition, Eureka fell twice at home to Mahomet-Seymour (63-12) and Prairie Central (50-27). Jake Miller recorded a pin in 35 seconds at 152 against the Bulldogs, while Dustin Brandon netted a pin at 220 opposite the Hawks.
